About Our Foodbank

Stamford Foodbank

Stamford foodbank was established in 2011 at the instigation of Stamford Churches together. The current Trustees of Stamford Foodbank represent six different Stamford Churches.

Stamford foodbank is supported by many Churches, National Supermarkets, local businesses, Schools, other charitable bodies, local Government and individuals.

We have a dedicated team of 35 volunteers who work together to help stop hunger in our local area.

Oundle Foodbank

Oundle Foodbank is joint enterprise of the Anglican, Baptist and Methodist churches in Oundle. We first opened early in 2017 and linked with Stamford in April.  We are now open on Tuesday afternoons at the Methodist Church in Drummingwell Lane.

Our 20 volunteers include members from all four churches in the town and some who have no church connections.

Each Monday morning we collect donated food from baskets in the two supermarkets in the town  and our volunteer drivers  transport these gifts to the Stamford Centre where they are checked and sorted into the main stockholding.  We bring back only sufficient to maintain an up-to-date working stock in Oundle.
